5k Race & 1 Mile Fun Run
April 13, 2025

Breeze Thru the Trees is a 5k cross country run winding through Ruppert Nurseries’ tree nursery in Montgomery County’s Agricultural Reserve.

Support the Children’s Opportunity Alliance, building an early childhood system that works.

Breeze Thru the Trees began with a vision to unite our community and champion organizations dedicated to fostering equity and positive change.

We first hosted our 5K event in 2016 and 2018. Then, in 2020, Sophie Felts Floral Design continued the momentum, launching an annual Flower Drive that carried on through 2024.

Over the years, we have proudly supported a diverse range of causes, including:

  • Red Wiggler Community Farm

  • Greater Washington Community Covid-19 Emergency Response Fund

  • Greater Washington Community Partnership to End Homelessness

  • World Central Kitchen

  • Baltimore Safe Haven

  • National Breast Cancer Foundation

We are thrilled to announce the return of Breeze Thru the Trees for our third-ever 5K event. This year, we’re happy to support Children’s Opportunity Alliance, which is working to build an equitable, accessible, high-quality, and sustainable early childhood system that narrows disparities and puts all young children on a path to reach their greatest potential.

Grounded in collaboration and accountability for each other, the Alliance convenes stakeholders across all sectors in order to forge a thriving, justice-based system for Montgomery County. The Children's Opportunity Alliance believes that when the smallest among us flourish, we all experience well-being

Bring kindness and inclusion to our community.
